1. Demux video & audio

If your source video is MPEG, you can use the MPEG DeMultiplexer tool to decompose an MPEG Systems stream into a set of elementary streams (video-only and audio-only streams).

Run Womble MPEG Video Wizard DVD, the screenshot is as below.

Click on the "Tools" button on the Toolbar, select "MPEG DeMultiplexer" from the drop down menu. In the Demux window that will appear, click on the "Input" button(1) to select the video file to be demuxed, then click "Save"(2) to start separating the MPEG file into video-only and audio-only files.

2. Mute the audio of video clip

You can also mute the audio of a video file. To do this, drag the video file onto video track (the first track of the timeline), right click on the video file and select "Audio" -> "Mute" from the context menu to silence the audio. Next click the red dot button on the timeline to export a video-only file.

3. Replace audio in a video file

You can also remove unwanted audio from a video clip, add new audio to the video clip, and then save the file back to a new video file.

a. Replace the whole audio track in this video clip

First drag the video file onto video track (the first track of the timeline), right click on the video file and select "Audio" -> "Mute" from the context menu to silence the audio. Next drag the new audio onto the audio track(the third track of the timeline) and align it properly. Finally click the red dot button to export a new video file.

b. Replace part of the audio track in a video clip

First drag the video file onto video track (the first track of the timeline), and preview the video in the Output window. When you find the beginning of the unwanted audio, pause the playback and click the "Split" button on the Timeline Toolbox(Splitting a clip will break the clip into two clips at the splitting point.). Then locate the end of the unwanted audio in the same way and split again. Now right click the separate video clip which contains the unwanted audio, select "Audio" -> "Mute" from the context menu to silence the unwanted audio. Next drag the new audio onto the audio track(the third track of the timeline) and align it properly. Finally click the red dot button to export a new video file.
